Guide Dog's use of Oralade

Since 2008 we have been working closely with Guide Dogs UK to provide Oralade as a palatable oral re-hydration and nutritional supplement for their National Breeding centre and also across other areas of the charity.

Oralade is offered to the puppies at weaning and also every pup leaves with a bottle of Oralade when they depart from the Breeding centre to their new handler. The journey for any puppy to their first new home can be stressful and a challenge. They may not want to eat or drink much and could have a long journey ahead. Having Oralade encourages them to readily drink when needed, as they know and love the taste. The result is happier healthier pups arriving at their new home.

Now many years on Guide Dogs is very much a charity that's close to our hearts. The work, training, and commitment by everyone involved at Guide Dogs is inspiring and we just love the chance to visit the centre and see the dogs at work or the playful puppies starting out. These amazing dogs help change thousands of people's lives, both adults and children who are living with sight loss and enable them to live independent and confident lives with a great companion at their side.

Oralade is great for wildlife as well as pets!

The Wildlife Aid Foundation relies on Oralade to rehydrate many of its newly-admitted patients.

“Oralade is a great, highly palatable rehydration solution for wildlife. Its chicken flavour makes it perfect for carnivorous and omnivorous patients, helping restore hydration and providing a boost of essential electrolytes, aminoacids and glucose.”

“At the Wildlife Aid Foundation we frequently use Oralade to help our patients which are suffering from mild dehydration and are reluctant to eat. It works really well for species such as hedgehogs, foxes and badgers as the smell seems to encourage them to lap. It really does give them a boost and can get them eating solid food again which is critical for their rehabilitation.”
